On May 1, 2023, the White House announced that the COVID-19 vaccine requirements for international, non-citizen air travelers coming to the United States will be lifted at the end of the day on May 11, 2023. The White House went on to state that Department of Homeland Security will be beginning the process to end vaccination requirements for non-citizens entering through land borders. Congressman Brian Higgins of Buffalo, NY posted a press release indicating that he had received confirmation that Canadians entering the United States at land borders will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination beginning May 12, when the requirement ends for air-travelers. At this time, the COVID-19 vaccination is still a requirement for Consular Processing of immigrant visas and Adjustments of Status.
