Posted by Emilie (Ronald) Gough | Jan 22, 2025 | 0 Comments

Beginning January 22, 2025, USCIS announced that it will waive any and all requirements that Adjustment of Status applicants present documentation of the COVID-19 vaccination.

The announcement posed on the Form I-485 webpage states that:

USCIS will not issue any Request for Evidence (RFE) or Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) related to proving a COVID-19 vaccination.  USCIS will not deny any adjustment of status application based on the applicant's failure to present documentation that they received the COVID-19 vaccination.

The requirement for the COVID -19 vaccination was initially required for Adjustment of Status applicants beginning in October 2021.

At time of writing the COVID-19 vaccination is still required for immigrant visa applicants processing outside of the US.
